New and Reconditioned Bicycles

New Bicycles from Marin and Redline

Broadway is pleased to offer a selection of decent, mid-priced new bicycles. We sell a variety of new Marin and Redline hybrid, mountain, city, and commuting bikes.Our aim is to sell bikes which are simple, durable, comfortable, and will hold up well against the rigors of riding on Boston streets.We have been extremely pleased with the quality of these bicycles. Prices start at $340.

All new bicycles come with the following:

  • Five-year manufacturer's warranty on frame (from defect).
  • A free 30-day checkup.
  • A one-year limited warranty on parts and labor (provided the bike has received its 30-day checkup).
  • A 10% discount on new parts and accessories for 90 days.

Single-Speed and Fixed-Gear Bikes

Finally, bike companies are catching on to the demand for simplicity. The urban-style fixed/single Redline 9.2.5 is an speed bike with cromoly frame and fork, front and complete rear brakes, fenders, and moustache bars. We are really excited to have these bikes in stock. Come test ride one and see what all the fuss is about. Priced at $530.
IRO Cycle has been making decent, affordable fixed/single speed frames and bikes available for a while now. The Mark V. cromoly frame set is available by itself for $249. We generally have a version in stock built up the way we like it, with upright riser bars, handbuilt flip/flop rear wheel, and front and rear brakes for that crazy city traffic. But this bike can be built up many different ways to suit your own needs. IRO's frame and parts kits start at $549 (not including assembly) and our in-stock upgraded model (assembled) is $725. Customized versions are available, too. Come test one out and we can help you figure out what's right for you.
Or if vintage is your style, come in and check out our Broadway Single Speeds. We build an all new single or single/fixed bike on a vintage frame, with 700c handbuilt rear wheel for strength, upright riser bars, and all new components. Different options are available as well. If you're looking for a well built single speed or fixed gear bike, but you want it built just how you like it, this may be the option for you. Come in, check out what we have, and talk to us about what you're looking for. Our standard build is priced at $475.

A.N.T. = Alternative Needs Transportation

Looking for a high-quality, durable, handbuilt frame that's just for you? Well, we are happy to offer you custom-made frames and forks by local framebuilder Mike Flanigan. At Broadway, we can help you determine the exact frame that's right for you. A.N.T. specializes in commuter and cargo style bikes, but he does a lot more than that, too. Check out the A.N.T. website or call us for more information.

Quality Reconditioned Bicycles

At Broadway, our used bikes are better than used... they're reconditioned! That means that each bike has been given a full tune-up (includes wheel truing, hubs, headset, and bottom bracket adjustments, brake and gear adjustments, full lubrication) and had any needed parts replaced (can include tires, tubes, cables, brake pads, bearings, derailleurs, chains, etc,). When you buy a reconditioned bike at Broadway, it is ready to go. You won't need to pump more money into it just to get it started. And we stand behind our work, with a free 30-day checkup included on all reconditoned bikes. Parts and labor are warranteed from defects during that 30-day period.

Broadway specializes in commuting style bikes - converted ten and twelve speeds, and English three-speeds, but we often have some mountain bikes or newer hybrids around, too. Most bikes are priced between $150 to $250. We frequently have one or two higher-end road or commuting bikes as well. Come by and test ride a few - our stock of reconditioned bikes changes frequently, and these bikes tend to come and go pretty quickly!

Also, you can call us to see what used bikes we have in stock. During the busy parts of the season, there may be times that we don't have any used bikes available.
