Classes
Seize the Wrench! Don't get stuck on the road - become
comfortable with basic or advanced bicycle repair. Learn
how to fix a flat; adjust brakes, gears and hubs; do an
overhaul; or even build a wheel. Lots of product
information, too. All classes are taught by professional
bicycle mechanics using a hands-on approach. Bring your
bike to class and don't dress up. Tools are provided. Call or stop by to register for

Basic Class
Series of 5 classes, 2 hours
each. Repair a flat... learn how to adjust your
bearings, brakes, and gears... learn about
chains, lubrication, general maintenance and
diagnosis.

Women-Only Basic Class
Learn basic bicycle mechanics in a women-only
environment. Classes are taught by professional
women bike mechanics. Series of 5 classes, 2
hours each. Repair a flat, learn how to adjust
your bearings, brakes, and gears. Learn about
chains, lubrication, general maintenance and
diagnosis.

Advanced Class
Series of 4 classes, 2 hours each. Rear hub
overhaul, wheel truing, headset overhaul, and
front derailleur cable replacement and
adjustment. Prerequisite: Basic Class.

Wheelbuilding
Want to build yourself a custom wheel but
don't know how? This is the class for you. 4
classes, 2 hours each. Prior truing experience is
necessary.

Class cancellation
policy:
A full refund or credit
towards another course will be given under the
following circumstances only:
1. If you cancel your
enrollment in a course at least 2
weeks before the starting date of
that course.
2. If we cancel a course due to low
enrollment.
We're sorry, but no
refunds or credits will be given if you cancel
your enrollment in a course less than 2 weeks
prior to the starting date of that course.

Ongoing School at Broadway
During daily shop
hours*, you can come on in and get instruction at the
rate of $36/hour. This rate is prorated by 5-minute
increments, so you only pay for the time you use. We have
all the tools and all the standard parts on hand, so just
bring in your bike and your desire to learn and get your
hands dirty! We show you the steps and you do the work
yourself. No appointment is necessary for most repairs.
Stands are available on a first-come, first-served basis,
but you can call ahead if you
want to see how busy we are.
*Please note: Instruction time ends a
half-hour before closing time, please check shop hours schedule for daily hours
of operation.

We don't teach bicycle riding classes, but you may want

The Bicycle Riding School - Teaches bike riding for people who have never
ridden a bike before, or have had very little experience
