Basic Class

The BASIC CLASS is intended for those with little or no mechanical experience. Each class lasts two hours and meets once per week for 5 weeks. The class is divided into lecture and hands-on learning where the student works on their own bicycle. Learn more about our Basic Class.

Advanced Class

The ADVANCED CLASS is intended for students who have completed Broadway’s Basic maintenance class. Each class is two hours long and meets once per week for four weeks. Classes are part lecture and part hands-on excercises and students work on their own bike. Prerequisite: Broadway’s Basic class. Learn more about our Advanced Class.

Women & Trans Class

The WOMEN & TRANS Basic and Advanced Class are identical to the co-ed classes except that they are taught by women in an intentional environment meant to empower women and folks who have not benefited from male privilege. Learn more about our Women’s & Trans Class.

Wheelbuilding Class

The WHEELBUILDING CLASS takes you step by step through the process of building your own wheel. Learn more about our Wheelbuilding Class.

A few things to know about our classes:
  • Remember to bring your bike
  • Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting grease on.
  • If you need to cancel your enrollment you must do so at least 2 weeks before the class starts for a refund. After that, no refund will be issued.

The class is divided into lecture and hands-on learning where the student works on his or her own bicycle.  Class meets from 5:30-7:30pm.

The class is divided into lecture and hands-on learning where the student works on his or her own bicycle.  This class meets from 6:30-8:30 pm.

Wheel Building - Wednesdays

Want to learn how to build your own wheel? The Wheelbuilding class takes you step by step through the process.  Prices for parts not included in the class fee.

  • Each class is two hours long and meets once per week for fourweeks.
  • Classes are part lecture and part hands-on exercises
  • Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting grease on.
  • Prerequisite: Advanced Class
Topics covered:

Week 1 – Parts ordering and basic theory

Week 2 – No class to allow time for parts to arrive

Week 3 – Wheel lacing

Week 4 – Wheel tensioning/truing

Week 5 – Final tensioning and truing
