Commuter Special: A Basic Mechanics Course

This course in basic bicycle mechanics is an introductory course intended for those with little or no bicycle mechanic experience. Each class lasts two hours and meets once per week for 3 weeks. The class is divided into lecture and hands-on learning where the student works on their own bicycle. Tuition: $325.00

Topics include:

• Week 1 — Fixing a flat
• Week 2 — Brake Adjustment
• Week 3 — Shifting Systems Adjustments, primary focus on rear derailleur

Masks are required for all course participants and instructors.

This course will run on Sundays for three weeks: Jan 29th, Feb 5th, Feb 12th. (In the event of a snow cancellation, that lesson will be offered as a makeup class on a following Sunday.)

A few things to know about our classes

• Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting grease on.
• Wear closed-toe shoes.
• Bring your own bike to work on.
• You must be 18 years of age or older to take our classes.
• Masks are required for all course participants and instructors.
• If you need to cancel your enrollment you must do so at least 2 weeks before the class starts for a refund. After that, no refund will be issued.
